TCS launches european AI-powered sovereign cloud

TCS—Tata Consultancy Services, one of the world’s largest IT services firms and a strategic partner of the Indian government—has launched its TCS SovereignSecure Cloud on the european market. Featuring hybrid cloud capabilities and built on OpenStack, this offering is based on various deployment models, combines a range of cloud services with logical and physical data separation, ZeroTrust access, and ultra-secure LLMs.

It includes an AI-optimized hybrid cloud management solution, enabling efficient AI training and inference.



Background


To date, government and critical-sector applications in India have been hosted in on-premises environments. But with interoperability issues, high total cost of ownership, non-scalable architecture, and difficulties integrating new technologies, the cloud has become the alternative of choice. That said, exposing sensitive data in U.S. public clouds—which are subject to US FISA and the Cloud Act—is simply not an option.
